The Learning Lamp - After School Program Volunteers
The Learning Lamp is looking for volunteers for our two afterschool outreach sites in Moxham and Prospect. Moxham's program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. at Grove Avenue United Methodist Church. Prospect's program runs Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m. at the Prospect Community Center. The programs are set up that for the first hour at each site is homework help. After that hour is snack and fun, character building and physical activities. Volunteers are most needed for the first hour from 4 to 5 p.m. to help kids with their homework. The homework is very basic, such as addition, subtraction, reading practice, etc. Please call The Learning Lamp for more information.
