Volunteers are needed in the following capacities:

Home visitation: Visit with patients and families- play cards, share in conversation, etc.

Spiritual care team: Provide spiritual support through prayer, Bible study, and help with special event services.

Bereavement team - Follow up with the family to help them with the grieving process through phone calls, letters, greeting cards, and emails.

Clerical and special events: Assist with clerical duties in the office, help plan special events and projects that directly impact patients and families.

Special Hospice training is required, and provided by UPMC Community Hospice Care.
