Christian Home of Johnstown, Inc - Event Coordination Volunteers

We have a need for volunteers to help coordinate events that will raise funds for several necessary repairs to our group homes, namely our parking lot which has not had any work done to it for over 15 years and now has a sink hole. Our agency is very small and lacks regular volunteers to help with events. We need help in planning and coordinating an annual fundraiser dinner and night golf fundraiser for 2012, along with help in securing funds and donations for our 2nd Annual Christmas for Children Basket Party to be held on November 19, 2011. Last year's basket party was our first and was very successful, the funds enabled us to purchase comforter sets for each child in our care along with giving them a very nice Christmas party and allowing us to spend $150.00 per child for Christmas presents. We are hoping that this year is even bigger. Being so small, our employees wear many hats in order to cut down on costs and because of that we have little space for all the work necessary for successful fundraising campaigns. We are also very new to fundraising and would appreciate any help towards ideas and coordination. Our agency has been in existance for over 100 years and have helped thousands of children. What we do for the children of Cambria and surrounding counties matters and we see that in the successes of the children in our care. We care about what we do and every child that we serve.
