You don’t need to run to be part of the biggest race in Wales!
The Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest road races in the United Kingdom.
The event is not only the UK’s second largest half marathon, it is Wales’ largest road race and Wales’ largest multi-charity fundraising event.
Volunteers are essential in making sure that race day is a huge success. As a volunteer you will be part of a large team of amazing volunteers called ‘The Extra-Milers’ that will be ‘Making the Difference’ to ensure that runners and spectators alike have a great experience.
You don’t need any special skills, just be reliable, flexible and have lots of enthusiasm! There are a whole range of different roles available on race day and will be something to suit everyone.
Volunteering is a great way to have fun, make friends, enhance your CV and experience the electric atmosphere of race day. So if you just want to be part of this prestigious international event, have a friends or family member running or are an events management student then why not volunteer.
We’ll provide you with breaks, refreshments and on the day support through a supervisor as well as all the support and training you need to undertake your role.
As well as the main race day, we are once again holding the Festival of Running on Saturday 30th September. This is a fun filled day of activities, entertainment and running for all ages and abilities to take part in, including a Cardiff University Freshers fun run.
To register as a volunteer for either day please 'Fill in an application' or 'Log In' at the top right of this page and then 'Sign Up' to the day(s) you can support at.
