Cardiff 10k

Run 4 Wales has teamed up with Kidney Wales to ensure the Cardiff 10k 2017 is even bigger and better than last year. 

On Sunday 3rd September thousands of runners will take on a city center 10k course and the whole family can get involved with a 2k Family Fun Run. 

Volunteers are going to be essential in making sure that race day is a huge success and you will be part of a team of amazing volunteers to ensure that runners and spectators alike have a great experience.

You don’t need any special skills, just be reliable, flexible and have lots of enthusiasm! We will need support in a range of different roles on race day including registration, marshaling, baggage area and the finish line. Roles will be allocated on the day and we will make sure you get a go at a few different areas.

It really will be an amazing day and your support is really appreciated.

Cardiff University/ Cardiff Half Marathon 2017

You don’t need to run to be part of the biggest race in Wales!

The Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest road races in the United Kingdom.

The event is not only the UK’s second largest half marathon, it is Wales’ largest road race and Wales’ largest multi-charity fundraising event.

Volunteers are essential in making sure that race day is a huge success. As a volunteer you will be part of a large team of amazing volunteers called ‘The Extra-Milers’ that will be ‘Making the Difference’ to ensure that runners and spectators alike have a great experience.

You don’t need any special skills, just be reliable, flexible and have lots of enthusiasm! There are a whole range of different roles available on race day and will be something to suit everyone.

Volunteering is a great way to have fun, make friends, enhance your CV and experience the electric atmosphere of race day. So if you just want to be part of this prestigious international event, have a friends or family member running or are an events management student then why not volunteer.

We’ll provide you with breaks, refreshments and on the day support through a supervisor as well as all the support and training you need to undertake your role.

As well as the main race day, we are once again holding the Festival of Running on Saturday 30th September. This is a fun filled day of activities, entertainment and running for all ages and abilities to take part in, including a Cardiff University Freshers fun run.

Velothon Wales 2017!

On Sunday 9th July 2017, up to 18,000 riders will embark on a completely closed road cycling sportive that takes in 140km of some of Wales’ most breath taking scenery.

Volunteers are essential in making sure that event day is a huge success, so why not get involved, become a ‘VELONTEER’ and be part of Wales’ biggest every cycling event!

 

You don’t need any special skills, or to be a cyclist. Just be reliable, flexible and have lots of enthusiasm!

 

There are a whole range of different roles available in the run up to (Friday 7th and Saturday 8th July) and on race day (9th July) both in and around the start/finish in Cardiff City Centre and around the course at feed stations on race day. There will be something to suit everyone!

 

·         Helping to support the riders by manning a feed station around the course

·         Supporting riders into their starting pens and across the start line

·         Welcoming riders to Wales and supporting the rider registration/race pack collection area

·         Congratulating riders as they cross the finish line by handing out medals

·         Helping in a 'behind the scenes' role in one of our operational teams.

·         Why not help to man our baggage area

·         Good with a camera? You could be a volunteer Photographer
