Animals have been found to benefit people socially, psychologically and physiologically.
The goal of pet visitation is to bring joy, comfort and companionship to the residents of the home.
This position provides opportunities for residents to safely interact with animals in a controlled environment, to reach and maintain their optimal level of physical, mental and emotional functioning and well-being.
Interaction with pets will stimulate interest, alleviate anxiety and loneliness, and encourage social engagement with others.
