Lyell McEwin Hospital - Ward 3D Support - Evening Shift
Do you have 2 hours free in the evening 4 pm to 6 pm to provide assistance and support to patients and staff in Ward 3D over the mealtime period? Ward volunteers play a significant role in helping to ensure the patients eat and drink. You can volunteer for as little as one day week, or more.
As this time slot is a busy time in the ward your help would be greatly appreciated by the patients and staff by:

Assisting patients accessing their meals (opening drink containers, removing lids from meals, etc)

Being company whilst patients are having their nightly meal

Engaging in conversation during this time

Encouraging patients to eat their meal - Volunteers DO NOT feed patients

Assisting patients to complete their next meal menu

Assist with opening the ward doors to visitors
