Community Health/Health Education
The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has numerous opportunities to get involved with community health and health education. Some programs and initiatives that exists around topics such as:
- Diabetes
- Obesity
- Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug Prevention
- Behavioral Health
- Healthy Eating
- Active Living
As a Medical Reserve Corps member, there are numerous potential topics which medical or non-medical volunteers could provide a valuable resource in educating the community on important health issues. Members could be involved providing information at a festival or fair or could be involved in a specific public health initiative or activity.
