Mt Gibson - Mt Gibson Woylie Collar Removal Trapping

Project Title and AWC Sanctuary
Mt Gibson Woylie Collar Removal Trapping
Project Description and Dates
Come and join us at Mt Gibson to assist with our Woylie Collar Removal Trapping! This survey will target our Woylies that were translocated in June this year from inside the predator-free fence to outside the fence. We will be conducting targeted trapping for those Woylies which were fitted with a radio-collar back in June in order to now remove them.
3 teams will be completing 4 nights of targeted trapping of the collared Woylies. Individuals will be radio-tracked to their source and then cage traps will be placed around the individual to catch them. A health check will be completed for each Woylie caught and the collar of the target individual will be removed. We will require 4 Volunteers to assist with this survey.
Dates: 23rd to 27th November (note this project will undertake shift work morning and evening 4:30am to 8.30am and 2:30pm to 5.30pm- subject to change. Sign up shifts 8-4pm are a reflection of daily hours for only- see shift schedules notification below)
