Project Title and AWC Sanctuary

Mt Gibson Woylie Collar Check Trapping

Project Description and Dates

Come and join us at Mt Gibson to assist with our Woylie Collar Check Trapping. This survey will target our Woylies that were translocated in June this year from inside the predator-free fence to outside the fence. We will be conducting collar checks on some of the radio-collared woylies.

3-4 teams will be completing 4 nights of targeted trapping of the collared Woylies. Individuals will be radio-tracked to their source and then cage traps will be placed around the individual to catch them. A health check will be completed for each Woylie and the collar will be assessed. We will require 2 Volunteers to assist with this survey.

Dates: 20th to 24th July

8-hour days Monday - Friday, split shifts from approximately 5:30am to 10am and 2:30 to 6pm (subject to change). Note sign up shifts are for application and internal record keeping only- not accurate reflection of actual shift times.
