ESS (Emergency Support Services)
ESS is a provincial program local authorities and Indigenous governments use to deliver basic needs to the public in an emergency. ESS coordinates services for people forced from their homes by events likes fires and floods. These supports enable those impacted to re-establish themselves as quickly as possible. The ESS program is supported by the Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness and is administered by the City of Victoria.
