Community Outreach - SFAS Street Team
Break out of your routine and join the SFAS Street Team!
Do you like to be on the move while engaging with your community? Or do you possess organizational skills, networking acumen, and plenty of initiative? What about design talent?
We're looking for a robust and diverse group of team players to drive, walk, or bike to various locations around the Santa Fe area to hang flyers announcing shelter events, found animals, and other community engagement touchpoints.
We also need people who can build and manage a list of community bulletin boards, contact local businesses and organizations to keep that list up to date, delegate route assignments, or remove expired announcements.
A variety of interests, skills, and activity levels are needed to represent the shelter in a positive light, advance our mission, and drive engagement in our various initiatives.
After we promoted the launch of our Faithful 50 campaign we discovered the QR codes in those flyers received more scans than any other shelter marketing materials to date.
We suspect it was because a select few staff and volunteers put boots on the ground and hung these flyers at a handful of community bulletin boards and telephone poles.
A dedicated volunteer team could exponentially enhance that reach to more venues and more community animal welfare champions willing to donate their time and energy just like you do.
The internet is great, but people working together on a grassroots level is just as powerful as ever, if not more so.
Please consider joining the SFAS Street Team if any of the following sound familiar. You:
• enjoy a scavenger hunt
• like to drive, bike, or walk
• want to get to know your town on a deeper level
• enjoy talking to local organizations and business owners
• are good at coordinating details and team activities
• enjoy collaborating with like-minded folks
• or have some graphic design capability.
