Community Outreach - Quarterly Volunteer Town Hall Meeting - Adoptions focus
Join us for a special town hall presentation Friday, June 26 from 3:45 to 5 p.m. to learn about the conversational approach to adoptions.
SFAS staff will present on the differences between marketing and matchmaking and how even well-intentioned barriers don't result in better outcomes for animals. You'll see an adoptions counseling session in action during a live role play and have an opportunity to ask a question about open adoptions. Curious attendees can study up ahead of time by reading the Adopters Welcome manual from Humane World Alliance.
Meet us in the Roddey Rehab Center for the presentation starting promptly at 4, with time for mingling starting at 3:45 p.m. Please sign up so we know how many snacks to buy.
