Development and Community Engagement - Community Engagement Intern
Title: Community Engagement Internship/Volunteer
Department(s): Development and Community Engagement
Reports to: Development and Community Engagement Team - direct supervisor depends on interest/experience area
Time Involvement: 3-month minimum commitment, 6 hours per week, negotiable
Summary: The Community Engagement Intern will work alongside the Development and Community Engagement department with in-kind donation coordination, volunteer coordination, and event support. You will be part of a team that builds relationships in the community, with individuals and other organizations. The Community Engagement Intern will be expected to be in communication with multiple departments within JFS, strong communication skills are encouraged.
Special Requirements:

-Able to drive to different locations in Buffalo to meet in-kind donors
Major Responsibilities:

Commitment to at least 6-hour per week (can be broken up into 2 day).

In-kind donation coordination: speaking to donors over the phone and arranging donation drop offs/pick-ups.

Volunteer coordination: guiding volunteers through donation organization and answering general questions about our organization.

Event support: attending and giving out information about JFS at community events.

Demonstrates patience, and the ability to operate from a mindset of cultural humility.

Multilingual is a plus but not required
