Programs - Sports/Recreation Instructor/Coach

Activity Summary:

We are looking for volunteers interested in coaching and assisting our youth programs. If you have a passion for sports, experience with coaching, an outgoing personality, and the ability to work successfully with diverse populations then we would love to have your help.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, helping participants sign in, organizing and leading the practice and helping in any after practice cleaning that may need to take place.

The schedule is flexible.  School year programming is Monday-Friday from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm.  Summer programming would take place during day camp hours of 9:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • 16 years or older
  • Reliable, professional and hard working
  • Full of energy
  • Has a passion for teaching
  • Works well with diverse population and will be reliable.
  • Pass initial screening process

 Policies:

 Volunteers need to be willing to undergo a background check and initial screening process. Once they have passed, they will need to complete our Safe from Harm online training within 90 days of starting.

Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army Facilities or volunteer site.

Clothing must be respectful as you will be representing The Salvation Army.
