Community Wellness

The Community Wellness Program is dedicated to promoting the health, independence, and overall well-being of older adults in our community. Volunteers play a vital role in making this program successful through two unique opportunities:

Meal Site Coordination
Volunteers support local meal sites by helping plan, coordinate, and serve affordable, nutritious meals in a welcoming, restaurant-style environment. These sites provide much more than food—they foster friendship, reduce isolation, and encourage healthier eating habits. By ensuring meals are served smoothly and with care, volunteers help create a warm, social setting where older adults can feel both nourished and connected.

Wellness Leaders
Volunteers can also become certified Wellness Leaders, trained to guide evidence-based classes focused on fall prevention, improving balance, and supporting overall physical and emotional health. These classes empower participants with the skills and confidence to live safer, more active, and independent lives. Wellness Leaders make a lasting impact by fostering healthier lifestyles and strengthening community ties.
