Waipuna Hospice provides compassionate care for those with life-limiting illnesses and supports their families. Servicing from Waihi Beach to Paengaroa, we focus on home care but also offer an Inpatient Unit and Outpatient Services. Our goal is to manage symptoms and pain, providing comfort and support to patients and their loved ones.

Hospice exists to provide support and care for people in the last phases of an incurable disease so that they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible.

Hospice recognises dying as a normal process and neither hastens not postpones death.

Hospice exists in the hope that through appropriate care and promotion of a caring community sensitive to their needs, patients and families may be free to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.

Hospice recognises grief as a normal response to loss. Support to families and caregivers continues into the bereavement period.

Tree of Rememberance 2026

Can you spare two hours this December?

We’re looking for volunteers to help at our Remembrance Tree collection sites from 4 to 20 December 2026.

You’ll help people write messages for their loved ones and collect donations in local supermarkets and malls, raising vital funds for Waipuna Hospice. Come on your own, bring a friend, or sign up with your team or club.

To get involved, open the application form under “I would like to volunteer”, then choose your store and shift.

If you have any questions, contact Katy at fundraising@waipunahospice.org.nz.
