Riding for Disabled Oakbank

Riding for Disabled Oakbank

Riding for Disabled Oakbank Centre (RDA Oakbank) provides specialised horse-riding programs and relationships with horses for mostly young people with physical, intellectual, learning and emotional disabilities. We have been operating since 1980 by local volunteers and are based at the Oakbank Racecourse in South Australia's picturesque Adelaide Hills.

RDA Oakbank is one of 12 centres across South Australia that are formally affiliated with Riding for the Disabled South Australia (RDASA). As a member of RDASA, our centre is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme provider.

Volunteer With Us!

RDA Oakbank holds lessons on Tuesday and Friday afternoons but operate 7 days a week to care for our small herd of horses and maintaining the Centre's grounds and equipment, as well as assisting on lesson days and carrying out administrative support tasks.

We offer you the opportunity to learn new skills with RDA Australia accredited volunteer coaches, other trained volunteers with a diversity of skills, and trained and accredited RDA horses.
