Help shape a new Learning Disability forum at GOSH
GOSH Voice is looking to bring together parents, carers, children and young people with lived experience of learning disability to help shape a new Learning Disability forum.
This will be a space where families and young people can share their experiences, ideas and priorities. We want to work together with you to help develop our services and resources, and to make sure GOSH services are as inclusive, accessible and supportive as possible.
GOSH Voice is all about working together in equal partnership to improve the experience of patients and families.
Who can take part?
- Parents and carers of children or young people with a learning disability or who have severe learning needs
- Children and young people themselves (with whatever support helps you, if needed)
There is no pressure to take part in every stage — you can choose what feels right for you.
How to get involved
To start with, we are gathering an expression of interest.

What will happen next?
Once we have enough people interested:
- Short survey
We will send a short survey to understand how you would like to be involved — including communication needs, accessibility, and preferred ways of taking part.
This will include whether you would prefer sessions to be face to face or online. - First group session
We will then invite you to our first Learning Disability group event in Autumn 2026 (this may be online or face to face, depending on what works best for the group).

We'll ask you a few questions to get to know more about you.
Once we've approved your application you'll be able to sign up to this opportunity, and any others you'd like to take part in.
We try and approve all applications as quickly as we can.
