🧍Face to face - 💬Young People's Forum- Patients & Siblings aged 10-21

Our Young People's Forum (YPF) is a group of current GOSH patients and siblings aged 10- 21 years old who have a strong voice in helping to improve patient experience at GOSH.

The YPF meet six times a year, face to face on a Saturday. Opportunities do not stop at the meetings. There are several other ways YPF members can get involved in projects around the hospital such as sitting on interview panels, hospital inspections, conferences, feedback panels for projects around the hospital and annual events.

What will be covering in the next session?

It will be an extra special YPF on Saturday 5 September as we will be going to London Zoo!

Over the last 18months or so YPF has helped develop GOSH Greencare - the idea of using nature based activities to support patients wellbeing and mental health.

At our zoo day we will be continuing this work and looking at how GOSH can work closely with London Zoo.

Four teams have created proposals and projects and would love to get your thoughts and opinions.

The 4 areas are:

  • Procedural Distress
  • Mindfulness
  • Enrichment
  • Poo at the Zoo!

These sessions will be led by staff our play, psychology, nursing and infection control teams.

Some sessions will be classroom based and others will get you out into the zoo. We will make sure there is time to see some animals!

What time is the meeting?

10am-4pm
