Help us improve our Neurodisability survey questions and clinic posters
We want to hear from young people and parents
We are looking for feedback to help improve the questions we will ask in a survey and the posters we will use in our clinics.
This survey and posters will ask families what it was like to come to their appointment.
Who can take part in this project?
Patients and families who attend the Neurodisability clinics. If you’re not sure whether this includes you please check the list below, or ask your parent or carer.
What are Neurodisability clinics?
Neurodisability clinics support children and young people with conditions that affect how they move, communicate, learn, or take part in everyday activities.
Our clinics include:
- Augmentative Communication Service
- Developmental Communication Service
- Developmental Epilepsy Clinic
- Developmental Vision Clinic
- Dysphagia Clinic
- Movement Disorders Clinic
- Neurodevelopmental Assessment Clinic
- Neurometabolic Clinic
- Osteogenesis Imperfecta Service
- Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy Service
- Social Communication and Autism Spectrum Service
- Sturge-Weber and Neurocutaneous Syndromes Service
What is this project about?
We want to understand what appointments are like for young people and parents. To do this, we are using a short survey called the Experience of Service Questionnaire to gather feedback. We will be asking everyone who comes to a clinic in May to complete a questionnaire.
To help more families take part, we have created posters and flyers that will be displayed in the hospital and given out at clinics.
In this session we want to get feedback on the questions we will use for the survey as well as the posters, from patients and families who may see them.
What would we like your feedback on?
We’d love to hear what you think about the questions and posters, including:
- Are they easy to read and understand?
- Is there anything you would change to make them more helpful?
How can you get involved?
You are invited to take part in an online focus group where you can share your thoughts and give feedback on the questions and posters.
OR you can complete a short feedback survey that will take 5 – 10 minutes if you would prefer.
Our aim is to make sure the questions and posters are helpful and accessible for everyone. We’d love to hear what would feel most meaningful or helpful to you.
