Help design resources to support ophthalmology care
GOSH Voice is looking to bring together parents, carers, children and young people living with a visual impairment to co-design engaging resources that support patients whilst accessing ophthalmology care at GOSH.
This will be a space where families and young people can share their experiences, ideas and priorities. We want to work together with you to help develop our services and resources, and to make sure GOSH services are as inclusive, accessible and supportive as possible.
GOSH Voice is all about working together in equal partnership to improve the experience of patients and families.
Who can take part?
- Children and young people living with visual impairment
- Parents and carers of children or young people living with visual impairment.
There is no pressure to take part in every stage — you can choose what feels right for you.
How to get involved
To start with, we are gathering an expression of interest.

What will happen next?
Once we have enough people interested:
- Virtual Focus Group
We will organise a virtual meeting where participants can share their experiences of receiving care at GOSH and suggestions on what could have made this better. - Walk-Through of Facilities
We will organise a walk-through of facilities with a select group of patients and families so GOSH staff have a better understanding of what is helpful and what needs to be improved. - Patient and Family Forum
Set up a regular forum to co-design resources and share updates on project progress.

Once we've approved your application you'll be able to sign up to this opportunity, and any others you'd like to take part in.
