Reimagining the X-Ray Department – Creative Workshop
We’re redesigning the radiology department on Level 2 of the Variety Club Building – the space where children and young people come for X-rays, ultrasounds and other types of imaging.
We want this area to feel calmer, more welcoming and more supportive for everyone who uses it: patients, siblings, parents and carers.
Following on from a previous workshop, participants will work with artist Nicole Morris on the theme of discovery and exploration. This session will create the design brief for the artists and architects to re-design the x-ray space.
Who Can Join?
We want to hear from:
- young people (aged 4-16) who have had at least one X-ray or ultrasound in GOSH’s radiology department.
- siblings and parents or carers of these young people.
You don’t need any experience in design — just an interest in helping make the space better for future patients.
