Who can take part?
This opportunity is open to all GOSH Voice members — no experience needed!
You don’t have to be a confident speaker (yet!) — we’ll support you every step of the way.
We’ve found that having a young person and their parent/carer speak together works brilliantly, but anyone from GOSH Voice is welcome to join the panel.
About the Conference
Event: Paediatric Advanced Practice Network Conference 2026
Session: Leadership Unfiltered: Big voices — the young person and parent perspectives on what makes a good leader
You’ll be part of a panel session with other GOSH Voice members, sharing your ideas, experiences and honest thoughts with healthcare professionals from across the country.
What will we talk about?
You’ll explore questions like:
- What makes a good leader in healthcare?
- What matters most to you as a patient or family member?
- How has leadership (good or bad!) shaped your care experience?
- What should healthcare teams do better?
Don’t worry — we’ll go through everything together beforehand and make sure you feel confident and ready.

If you’re not already a GOSH Voice member, you first need to sign up to be a member of GOSH Voice.

We'll ask you a few questions to get to know more about you, and the type of projects you're interested in. Once we've approved your application you'll be able to sign up to the opportunities you'd like to take part in.
We try and approve all applications as quickly as we can. If you're under 16, we'll need your parent/carer to complete a consent form so we know they're happy for you to take part.
Once we have approved your application you will be able to log in, and sign up to this activity.
