We are running a creative workshop at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Who is this workshop for?

Children and young people who: 

• Have a learning disability
• Come to neurodisability services at GOSH

This workshop is for patients and their parents/carers only. This workshop is not for siblings.

We want to learn: 

• How can we listen to you better at GOSH? 
• How we can include you and your ideas in what we do
  
  

What you tell us will help: 

• Shape future sessions and projects

When?

• Wednesday 27^th May 🕐  

• Morning session: 10am–12pm 

• Afternoon session: 1pm–3pm 

• You only need to attend one session

What will we do? 

In the workshop you can: 

• Do arts and creative activities 

• Share your thoughts and ideas 

• Show us what helps you feel:  

• • listened to 

• • understood 

• • included 

 

There is no right or wrong way to take part. 

 

You can communicate using: 

• Words 

• Pictures 

• Drawing 

• Movement 

• Sounds 

 

• Or any other way that works for you 

 

You can join in: 

• At your own pace 

• In your own way

Will the space be safe and calm? 

Yes. 

 

The room will be: 

• Calm 

• Comfortable 

• Welcoming

Who will be there?

Staff from: 

• Learning Disability & Autism (LD&A) Clinical & Education team 

• Neurodisability team 
• GOSH Voice team

 

Other young people and their parents and carers.

Can I have support? 

Yes, you can: 

• Take breaks whenever you need 

• Bring a parent, carer or supporter 

All children and young people must come with a parent or carer. 

 

Before the workshop 

To help us support you: 

 

• A member of the team will contact your parent or carer

We will ask them about:  

• • Your needs 

• • Things that help you feel comfortable 

• • Any adjustments you may need 

 

This helps us plan the session properly.

Important – signing up 

Everyone must sign up before coming.

✅ Each parent/carer must be signed up.

✅ We need to know exactly who is coming 

✅ This helps us make sure everyone is supported
