Help us redesign radiology at GOSH

We’re transforming our radiology department on Level 2 of the Variety Club Building — the space where children come for X‑rays, ultrasounds and other imaging. We want to improve the space and make sure it meets the different needs of our patients, siblings and parents.

Your experiences and ideas can directly shape how this new space looks, feels and works for children, siblings, and families. We’re working with a specialist design team, and your insights will help guide real, meaningful change.

Who we're looking for

Parents and carers of current or recently discharged GOSH patients who have had at least one X‑ray or ultrasound in our radiology department.
No design experience needed — just your lived experience and your passion for improving services for families.

We are looking for parents and carers to join our design user group. This is made up of radiology staff and members of the design team. We want to make sure GOSH voice's are included in this too. 

When

•  Tuesday 3 Feb: 10:00-12:00 (face-to-face)
•  Tuesday 10 Mar: 10:00-12:00 (face-to-face)

Further monthly meetings will run throughout the year. 

What to expect

• The design group will be facilitated by the radiology team. The GOSH Voice/ Patient Experience team will be there to support you too. 
• Parent/carer participants will receive a voucher for taking part
• Travel costs will be fully covered for in‑person sessions at GOSH

We'll ask you a few questions to get to know more about you, and the type of projects you're interested in. Once we've approved your application you'll be able to sign up to the opportunities you'd like to take part in.

We try and approve all applications as quickly as we can. If you're under 16, we'll need your parent/carer to complete a consent form so we know they're happy for you to take part.

Once we have approved your application you will be able to log in, and sign up to this activity.
