Our volunteers play an important role in providing hope, shelter and care to animals in need. Whether you’re spending time with animals, helping behind the scenes, or supporting events and programs, your time makes a difference.

Before You Apply
You don’t need previous animal experience to volunteer with us. We welcome people who are passionate about helping animals and are committed to making a difference in our community.
Before applying, please make sure you can meet the following requirements:
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Commit to either 2 hours per week on a consistent schedule or at least 2 shifts per month for a more flexible schedule
- Provide a valid Police Check dated within the last 6 months
- Demonstrate kindness, reliability and respect for animals and people
- Complete all required orientation and training
Important: Being 16 or 17 years old does not include eligibility to handle dogs. Dog handling is restricted to volunteers who are 18 years of age or older.
