Volunteer Training - New Volunteer Orientation
If you are a dedicated individual who loves animals, the Humane Society of Washington County would love to have you as a volunteer! Volunteers socialize with cats, walk dogs, help with the never-ending mounds of laundry, assist at off-site events, help facilitate adoptions and so much more!
Please only sign up for orientation if you plan to attend; should something come up that prevents you from attending, please remove yourself as soon as possible so that someone else may claim that spot.
Once registered, a background check will be performed; if any concerns are found, you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator. We do take minor offenses, but we do not take items such as theft, assault, the selling of drugs, etc.
All children between the ages of 10-15 must have a parent or legal guardian sign up for the orientation as well and that adult will be responsible for volunteering with the minor until they are 16 years of age.
We look forward to having you!
