The Alex is a beacon of hope for Calgary’s most vulnerable, offering healthcare, housing, and wellness programs with a patient-centered approach. With five decades of experience, we help individuals move from crisis to wellness. Our volunteers are vital to this work, bringing compassion and enhancing the quality of our services.
Our volunteer needs are as unique as our volunteers! Because of this, we may not have an immediate match for you based on skills or availability, however, we encourage you to still apply online and we will contact you when something comes available.
Unfortunately, at this time we have no current available volunteer opportunities at The Alex. However, please feel free to still submit a volunteer application (on the top right of this page) and we will reach out to you when opportunities arise.

Future volunteer roles may include Community Meal Serving, Community Meal Prep, Kitchen Assistant, Market Prep Help, Programming Assistant, Registered Dental Assistant Support on Dental Bus, Youth Mentor (2SLGBTQIA+ and Indigenous Youth, Games Night), Casino, and Tax Clinic Volunteer.
