The Alex is a beacon of hope for Calgary’s most vulnerable, offering healthcare, housing, and wellness programs with a patient-centered approach. With five decades of experience, we help individuals move from crisis to wellness. Our volunteers are vital to this work, bringing compassion and enhancing the quality of our services.
Our volunteer needs are as unique as our volunteers! Because of this, we may not have an immediate match for you based on skills or availability, however, we encourage you to still apply online and we will contact you when something comes available.

"Seeing how much support and understanding there is at The Alex makes me forget that I am volunteering to help change lives because it’s changing mine every day that I am here."
