Good afternoon APD Volunteers
You are invited to attend a class on Procedural Justice presented by the Arlington Police Department on January 17, 2018. The class will be held at the West Police Station in the Community Room, located at 2060 W. Green Oaks Blvd from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
This is what we will discuss:
· Very basic history of policing
· Community Policing: Community Partnerships, Problem Solving and Organization Transformation
· Distributive Justice vs. Procedural Justice
· 4 Pillars of Procedural Justice and how we relate that to everything we do internally and with the community. I will also discuss how these tenants relate to community groups, volunteers, C.O.P Mobile members, etc. and how their representation of this organization is immensely important and how representing it in a procedurally just way is equally important.
