Carpinteria State Beach, located along California's scenic coastline, is known for its gentle, sandy shores and picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean. The beach is a popular destination for families, nature lovers, and those looking to experience Southern California's natural beauty. The campground features over 200 campsites and offers a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak seasons. The location offers a serene environment with close proximity to the town of Carpinteria, which is known for its charming shops and restaurants.
As a Camp Host at Carpinteria State Beach, you play a vital role in providing a welcoming and safe environment for campers and visitors. Carpinteria State Beach, located along the scenic coastline of Southern California, has a rich history dating back to its establishment as a state park in 1932. Known for its beautiful sandy beaches and coastal wetlands, the park has grown to become a popular destination for campers and day visitors alike. Today, Carpinteria State Beach boasts over 200 campsites, offering a mix of RV and tent camping options. The park attracts thousands of visitors annually.
Visitor Service Camp Host: Duties will include camper registration, collecting fees, staffing the visitor center, firewood sales (Hosts must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.), light maintenance, and reporting incidents and emergencies. Additionally, Camp Hosts can present interpretive programs, enriching the visitor experience by sharing the natural and cultural history of Carpinteria State Beach. The typical Camp Host appointment is for three months, with the possibility of extending it to six months. As a Camp Host, you can expect to volunteer approximately 20-25 hours per week. Host campsites are equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and essential amenities such as electricity, water, and sewer hookups.

Maintenance Host: Duties include restroom cleaning, maintenance projects, grounds keeping and reporting of incidents and emergencies. Host campsites have a picnic table, fire ring, electricity, water and sewer hookups.
