Welcome!

NSF STEM Day Celebration!

Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is excited to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the National Science Foundation with a STEM Day Celebration!

Guests of all ages are invited to join us at our Lowertown Studios to participate in a variety of hands-on activities from favorite TPT shows including DragonflyTV, SciGirls, Book Drop, and When Whales Walked.

Volunteer opportunities are available for a variety of roles: managing an activity table, checking guests in using the iPads, handing out snacks, and helping guests navigate the event space.

By signing up to volunteer, you agree to the following:

  • Able to stand for 5+ hours and comfortable interacting with children and families. (You will be able to take breaks as needed throughout your shift.)
  • You are 16 years or older. If you are ages 13-15, you will volunteer with a parent or guardian.
  • All volunteers ages 18 or older for the family event will be required to pass a background check. If you are 17 years or younger, you will not be required to complete a background check.
