Every week, Foodbank Queensland helps provide food relief to more than 135,000 Queenslanders facing hardship and delivers breakfast to over 52,000 school children across the state.
Working alongside 350 community partners and almost 500 schools, we're not only helping feed people today — we're also creating lasting change. Through food rescue, we save quality surplus food from ending up in landfill, helping both people and the planet. Together, we're building stronger, more resilient communities where everyone has access to nutritious food.

🕒 Shift Times
- Weekdays only
- Between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm
- Typical shift length: 4 hours
👥 Eligibility
- Volunteers must be 18 years or older
- No experience required — just a positive attitude and willingness to help

Hunger Relief Donations Driver (Townsville)
Foodbank Queensland's Hunger Relief Donation Drivers are on the frontline driving Foodbank Queensland's truck throughout Townsville to pick up food donations from our smaller supply partners. Foodbank Queensland's Donation Drivers help us to rescue as much food as possible – to feed Queenslanders in need every day and directly support our vision for a Queensland without hunger.

Hamper Packing (Townsville)
Foodbank Queensland is experiencing increased demand for Food Relief services across the state. We’re looking for hardworking and energetic people to join the Foodbank family to help us pack our Food Relief Hampers for distribution to hungry Queenslanders across the state.
You’ll be contributing to FBQ’s mission and objectives by complementing and supporting the Warehouse team in coordinating our Food Relief services to hungry Queenslanders in times of need.
