Life Enrichment - WALKING WITH SENIORS

Purpose:  To enrich the lives of our residents through walking with them for exercising and socializing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take seniors from the Arbor (memory care unit) on walks throughout the campus both indoors and Outdoors.
  • Be responsible for insuring the safety and well-being of those residents assigned to walking group.
  • Listen to resident’s needs and respond appropriately.
  • Communicate with staff and residents as necessary.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

  • Physically able to walk at a slow to moderate pace
  • Enjoy being with seniors
  • Have patience and be able to communicate well with others.
  • Critical thinking skill

 

Time Commitment/Hours:

·  1/hr. a week or as available
