Life Enrichment - WALKING WITH SENIORS
Purpose: To enrich the lives of our residents through walking with them for exercising and socializing.
Responsibilities:
- Take seniors from the Arbor (memory care unit) on walks throughout the campus both indoors and Outdoors.
- Be responsible for insuring the safety and well-being of those residents assigned to walking group.
- Listen to resident’s needs and respond appropriately.
- Communicate with staff and residents as necessary.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
- Physically able to walk at a slow to moderate pace
- Enjoy being with seniors
- Have patience and be able to communicate well with others.
- Critical thinking skill
Time Commitment/Hours:
· 1/hr. a week or as available
