Lake Minnetonka Shores

Purpose:

• To recognize assisted and independent living residents who have a birthday during the month with a special birthday flower.

Benefits to Resident/Presbyterian Homes:

• Resident’s life will be enriched by the recognition of their birthday
• Having been given a beautiful flower, the goal of bringing smiles to the eyes of our residents may be met.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate ordering flowers with Volunteer Director for flowers to be delivered during the first week of the month.
• Prepare flowers decorating them with ribbon and a special birthday card
• Deliver flowers to each IL & AL resident with a birthday.  List will be printed and available from Volunteer Director
• Return list and ribbon to Volunteer Director

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

• Works well with others
• Creativity to decorate flowers
• Physical ability to deliver flowers to resident's apartment
• Enjoys people

Time Commitment/Hours:

• 2 hours or less a month

• General volunteer orientation.
• Specific training provided by Volunteer Director/Life Enrichment Department
