Life Enrichment - Pontoon Driver
Purpose:
Drive Pontoon and/or help escort residents to/from the pontoon during outings.
Responsibilities:
- Drive pontoon boat for staff members and residents for boat ride on Lake Minnetonka.
- As Captain of the boat, and in conjunction with Presbyterian Homes staff members, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of everyone onboard the pontoon.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Pass DNR Boat Certification test and become boat certified
- Pass the pontoon driver assessment
- Moderate pushing/lifting/walking required.
- Have a kind, energetic and patient disposition
Time Commitment/Hours:
- Weekly commitment desired and/or be able to be on-call
- 3-4 hours/per outing needed. Usually once a week.

Training and/or Support Provided:
- After passing the DNR Boat Certification, drivers will take the pontoon out with either a seasoned volunteer pontoon driver or someone from our maintenance department to get a feel for the boat so as to feel comfortable driving.
