Life Enrichment - Watermelon Social Helper

Purpose:  Provide assistance serving our residents during our weekly Watermelon socials.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with fellow volunteers/staff to:
    • set-up area
    • help escort residents
    • Serve watermelon to residents
    • Clean up tables and area after watermelon social
    • Interact and socialize with the residents while serving melon.

 Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

  • Must be 14 years of age or older to volunteer independently with the residents
  • Must be self-directed, energetic and self-motivated
  • This is a weekly commitment on Tuesdays. 

Time Commitment/Hours:

  • Tuesday afternoons from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

  • Build relationships with residents, staff and volunteers from the Gables (care center.)

  • Life Enrichment Staff
  • Volunteer Director

  • Volunteer Orientation
  • Support provided on an ongoing basis
