Campus - Intergenerational Visits

Purpose:

  • To provide the opportunity for residents to interact with young children.

Benefits to resident/Presbyterian Homes:

  • Residents have the opportunity for socialization.
  • Opportunity for community contact.
  • Enhance resident’s quality of life through reminiscence.

Responsibilities:

  • Will safely supervise children.
  • Will be conscious of infection control regarding health and cleanliness.
  • Will assist children in interacting with residents in an appropriate manner.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirement:

  • Caring cheerful attitude.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of personalities.

Time Commitment/Hours:

  • 1 hour.

  • Life Enrichment Staff
  • Volunteer Director

Training and/or Support Provided:

  • General Volunteer orientation.
  • Specific training provided by R.T./Activity staff.
