Life Enrichment - Library Book Cart Volunteer
Purpose: To provide reading materials for residents from our LMS library as well as Hennepin County Library if necessary so residents are able to continue their enjoyment of reading.
Responsibilities:
- Set up the library cart with relevant materials
- Take library cart to the 2nd and 3rd floor of the care center
- Begin on 3rd floor taking a wing at a time and then go to 2nd floor doing the same.
- Offer residents library materials according to their interests.
- If a resident has a "Special Request", this would be materials that our LMS library does not have, refer request information to the Special Request Coordinator (SRC) to order it from the Hennepin County Library.
- Pick-up and return materials to the LMS library perspective return slots when resident is finished reading materials.
- Attend monthly library committee meetings on the 1st Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the LMS Club Room.
Time Commitment/Hours:
- 1 to 2 hours per week.

- General volunteer orientation.
- Specific training provided by LMS library committee members
