Spiritual - Chapel Escort and Assistant
Purpose:
Provide assistance for our residents to attend Chapel in order to enhance their spiritual worship.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance is requested for the following:
o Escort residents to and from Chapel
o Arrange chairs in Chapel to provide room for resident’s walkers and wheelchairs.
o Distribute worship books
o Fold and distribute bulletins
o Help residents find correct pages in song book
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
- Must be physically able to push wheelchairs
- Must be self-directed, energetic and self-motivated
- Must be 14 years of age or older to volunteer independently
- Under age 14 can volunteer with a parent or guardian
Time Commitment/Hours:
- No more than 1 1/2 hrs.

- LMS Chaplain
- Volunteer Director
Training and/or Support Provided:
- Volunteer Orientation
- Dementia training by request
- On the job training
- Supported by staff and other volunteers
