Life Enrichment - One To One Visitor
Purpose:
- To provide personal contact for those residents in need of friends and individualized attention.
Benefits to Resident/Presbyterian Homes.
- Visitor will establish ongoing relationship with resident.
Responsibilities:
- Visit assigned, referred residents.
- Visits may include:
- General conversation and listening on a variety of subjects i.e. family, travel, former hobbies, and interests.
- Reading
- Prayer
- Letter writing
- Making phone calls
- Walks
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
- Caring, cheerful attitude
- Ability to converse with a variety of personalities in an appropriate manner.
- May need strength and endurance to propel wheelchairs.
- Ability to provide positive customer service.
Time Commitment/Hours:
- If possible, the volunteer should visit weekly at the same day and time.
- Based on resident’s needs and volunteer’s availability.

Reports to:
- Life Enrichment Staff
- Volunteer Director
Training and/or Support Provided.
- General volunteer orientation
- Discussion of individual resident needs with appropriate staff.
