Food Pantry - Pantry Assistant
Are you looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity that makes a direct impact for people in your community?
The Salvation Army of Grand Island is in need of a volunteer to assist individuals at the food pantry. Duties would include stocking shelves, greeting customers, and possible loading and unloading of cars.
This opportunity is best suited for volunteers age 16 and older. Those aged 16 and 17 will need a guardian permission form on file. Volunteers should consider their mobility and ability to be on their feet for the duration of their time at the center. The ability to lift 15-20 pounds is important for this opportunity. We’d especially love to have compassionate volunteers with great communication and customer service skills. This helps to put customers at ease as they shop the pantry.
