Philanthropy - Donation Center

Primary Tasks
-
Greet donors and document donations.

Prioritize and label items going out to programs.
-
Organize shelves and remove broken, used, or expired items.
-
Inform donation center staff or volunteer lead of need to replenish or procure supplies or donations.
-
Ensure the Donation Center is up to safety standards (no trip hazards, fire hazards, etc.)
-
Assist with inventory, sort, and put away all items received via Donation Center.

General Responsibilities

Participate and successfully complete all required trainings A New Leaf deems necessary
-
Always maintain standards of confidentiality and professionalism
-
Adhere to codes of conduct and standards as specified in Volunteer Handbook
-
Being an ambassador for the A New Leaf organization
-
Committed to fostering safe spaces for all, with the ability to respect and accommodate diverse stakeholders
-
Additional tasks may be requested by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Must be able to function independently & maintain consistent reliable attendance
-
Good organizational and communication skills
-
Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs
TIME COMMITMENT
Time commitments are as follows:
-
Minimum hours per month: 4 hours
-
Minimum number of months: 6 months
We have various shifts available M-F during business hours

Agency and Program Orientation

Adhering to written guidelines and checklists

On-the-Job Directions

Shadowing
