Urgent Need - Remote Caller

VOLUNTEER SERVICE DESCRIPTION
  • Program: Philanthropy
  • Position Title: Remote Phone Caller (Level II)
  • Reports to: Lead Caller or Program Manager & Volunteer Coordinator
  • Effective date: 07/15/2020 
IMPACT OF POSITION
  • The focus is on assisting staff to communicate with volunteers, donors, and others to increase communication within the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  1. Place calls as directed by supervisor
  2. Block personal phone number with *67 (please doublecheck with your phone provider)
  3. Follow script or outline to ensure every call recipient receives all the information
  4. Document calls that are made (left message, connected, busy, etc.)
  5. Notate & report any comments, concerns, or feedback from the recipient
  6. Answer questions about A New Leaf and refer to appropriate services/ assistance when needed
  7. Maintain standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  8. Adhere to codes of conduct and standards as specified in Volunteer Handbook
  9. Additional tasks may be requested as per program needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Comfortable using computer, spreadsheets & databases, and using email, phone & voicemail
  • Must be able to function independently & maintain consistent reliable attendance
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse population in a culturally sensitive, non-judgmental manner
TIME COMMITMENT
  • Minimum 4 hours per month. Calls to be made between the hours of 9a-8p
  • Minimum 6-month commitment requested.

  • Written materials & guidance
  • Zoom & phone meetings with supervisor
