Internship- Children's Programs

The A New Leaf After School Program serves:
Children who are 6-17 years old, who have one of the eight AHCCCS plans
Two current locations-
East Valley La Mesita campus
Have a behavioral health diagnosis
Referred through their Child and Family Team (CFT)
We provide a structured environment for clients to facilitate social interactions, social emotional learning and to work on regulating emotions
Clients are present at the After School Program for 4 hours a day, 3-5 times a week
The After School Program has 5 components of care
Creative Expression
Community
Character Development
Emotional Regulation
Executive Functioning
All Programing is based on having clients develop skills in these areas to use at home, school and their communities.
REQUIREMENTS: Depending on role. Enrolled in appropriate related higher education program. Fingerprint Clearance Card, ability to pass background check, TB screen, and completion of required training (Therapeutic Options, CPR/1st Aid, Relias Health, etc.). Other requirements may be required as per funding and contracts.
