Stollery PFCC is currently recruiting for key council positions

Patient and Family Centred Care Council

Scope: This council focuses on the direction of the Stollery Children’s Hospital and matters that have impact throughout the hospital.
When:  This council meets once a month at the University of Alberta Hospital Site or through teleconference. September to November and January to June on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:00 pm—8:15 pm. Dinner and parking passes provided.
Experience: Families/caregivers or patients who have experienced care at the Stollery Children’s Hospital for themselves or their child.  All Stollery staff, physicians or senior hospital leaders.
Application Process:  Please provide a short written expression of interest to helen.jones@ahs.ca. Interviews will be scheduled throughout the summer to prepare the council for a September start.

 

Cardiac Family Advisory Care Team (FACT)

Scope: This council focuses on the Cardiac Program at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
When:  This council meets once a month at the University of Alberta Hospital Site or through teleconference. September to November and January to June on the third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 pm—8:15 pm. Dinner and parking passes provided.
Experience: Families/caregivers or patients who have experienced care at the Stollery Children’s Hospital Cardiac Program for themselves or their child.  Stollery staff, physicians or senior hospital leaders working/supporting this area.
Application Process:  Please provide a short written expression of interest to amanda.proctor@ahs.ca. Interviews will be scheduled throughout the summer to prepare the council for a September start.

 

Youth Advisory Council

Scope: This council focuses on youth health with an emphasis on the Stollery Children’s Hospital, as well as any additional programs, policies or platforms regarding youth healthcare in Alberta.
When: This council meets 6 Saturdays/season in September, October and November, then in February, March and April/May.
Experience: Patients and siblings aged 12-17 who have experienced care at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
Application Process: Please contact amanda.proctor@ahs.ca for an application form. Interviews will be scheduled throughout the summer to prepare the council for a September start.
