Day Respite Pakenham Centre
Fernlea provides day respite for people with a life-limiting illness, chronic condition, or dementia, as
well as supporting their carers. Fernlea has two day respite centres, located in Emerald and Pakenham,
and an op shop and in-home care service that provide financial support for Fernlea’s community
services.
Guest Service Volunteers are an important part of Fernlea’s model of care, as they allow us to
provide a more personalised level of support and care to our guests.
The main objectives of the Guest Service Volunteer role are to:
- Improve the quality of life and enjoyment for Fernlea guests
- Provide support for Fernlea day respite staff
