Regional Parks protect natural areas and connect people to nature.

There are a wide range of volunteer opportunities in our parks, including habitat restoration, special events helper, hosting at visitor centres, or serving on a park association board.

PLEASE NOTE: Programming in Regional Parks is being highly curtailed due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Very limited volunteer opportunities are available; we are looking for volunteers to register with us now to begin helping as activities resume.

Our Current Volunteer Opportunities

Environmental Stewardship


Lend nature a helping hand in fun and interesting ways - remove invasive plants, monitor wildlife, plant native trees and shrubs, conduct bird surveys and more.

Special Events


Help connect visitors to nature by volunteering at regional park events - be a welcome tent host, deliver an activity with park interpreters or assist with event logistics.

Park Associations

Park Associations

Get involved with one of our park associations – non-profit groups that work with regional parks staff on projects and activities ranging from habitat restoration to nature education to special events.

Beachkeepers at təmtəmixʷtən/Belcarra Regional Park


Learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in data collection, public education and marine stewardship. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and able to commit a minimum of 30 hours (during weekends) throughout the summer.

Visitor Centre Hosts

Be a volunteer visitor centre host!  Connect with like-minded folks, welcome visitors to the park, and provide information about all the park has to offer.
