A volunteer may visit with residents or patients as part of the comfort team. During these visits the life stories program may be discussed. If there is interest from the patient in having their life story told, the volunteer will notify the appropriate staff members to obtain signed releases and instigate the life story process.  The volunteer may audiotape or take notes for the patient or resident and ask questions to obtain their life history.
