Parks & Gardens Volunteer
The Parks Volunteer Program provides members of the community with opportunities to contribute to the care and improvement of our parks across the region. Park volunteers may have the opportunity to participate in activities such as weeding, planting native vegetation or guided tours of our parks.
Parks volunteers should enjoy being active outdoors, meeting like-minded people, and sharing skills and knowledge – while enjoying the fulfillment of achieving real, on-ground improvements.
Most, but not all, activities are outdoors, and some require a moderate level of fitness.
Animal Centre Volunteer
The Ranger Service Team are looking for responsible and trustworthy animal lovers to volunteer at our Ranger Service Animal Centres. This is a flexible role working closely with our Dogs and Cats to ensure that they are being cared for to our fullest ability.
Animal Centre volunteers may have the opportunity to participate in activities such as feeding the animals and assisting with routine walks.
Our aim is to create stronger connected communities, through the engagement of volunteers in the Western Downs. We strive for our volunteers to be well engaged, valued and supported and we give recognition to those volunteers who generously contribute their time.
