Bloodmobile Greeters are the first people our donors see at blood drives. They reassure those who are nervous, make each donor feel welcome, assist with filling out the donor history questionnaire, maintain the order of arrivals, and answer general questions. Greeters are an essential part of our success in blood drives and are very much in demand. Shifts are typically 4 to 6 hours in duration and are usually outside throughout the County.
Donor Center Hosts provide support at all of our 8 donor center locations. Like Bloodmobile Greeters, Donor Center Hosts play a crucial role in the donor experience. They must demonstrate a high level of customer service and have a willingness to help others. Responsibilities include greeting / prescreening donors upon entry, monitor them for any change in condition after donation, help to maintain a clean and safe environment, offer snacks and other refreshments to our donors and thank them for their recent donation. Shifts are typically 4 hours in duration.
Office Administration/Special Projects: At times San Diego Blood Bank may need additional assistance in general office administrative duties. Opportunities range from filing and data entry to working with our marketing team on special mailing campaigns.
*NOTE: We do not offer volunteer phlebotomy positions.
